I have to rate this a 1 since Firefox 4.0 reports the ssite to have malware - says lthey lhave been notified. Not worth lthe chance even with substantial lprotaection

It works under Vista64.
Start with F8 - "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement".
Then start Nibitor as admin.

Not working properly on Windows Vista 64Bit. As an user the program can not connect to the device manager and as an administrator it can not start the driver "nibitor.sys". Windows Defender always is poping up asking to confirm the new driver. But this is not helping. So I can't give a good vote...

My passively cooled 7100GS was clocked at 350mhz, added a nice Zalmen VGA heatsink fan. Now it's clocked at 450mhz and perfectly stable. Might try for more later. Couldn't get close to that with software overclocking. If my PC ever gets stolen, the person will always be reminded that it's my PC. The first message that pops up on at system start is my name, address and phone number thanks to NiBitor.
What NiBiTor needs is some way to make an ISO image of the bootup floppy you need to burn the BIOS into the card. Why not make it even easier then it already is?

Update.
Apparently many people have found good benefits using this. Let me make some warning specific:
1) If overclocking, pay attention to the room temperature. If you overclock, you may run into problems, say in the summer time if you tweaked your system in cooler room temperatures.

2) If you have a passive cooling solution like me you may find that overclocking is harder since there's no fan to spin and compensate for the increased temperature. If you are in a cool room there may be some leeway.

There are other overclocking utilities for RAM, CPU, bus etc. The video card is the most important component for video gaming.

*There's no need to overclock if your game runs great, but getting a few more FPS can make a difference so I encourage people to use this product provided they know what they are doing.

Generally what I do as far as overclocking goes is find what the absolute max of your video card is. For my 8800GTS I was able to go from a stock clock of 513mhz Core and 792 Memory clock up to 653/1017 without any lockups or artifacts after running 3Dmark 3 consecutive times. Then find a nice middle ground between those two values, which would be 583/904. This is a good compromise between card stability and performance. I get about another 10% to my framerate when overclocking this much and am not really sacrificing the life of the card. My video card might last 7 years instead of 10, but I anticipate replacing it long before then anyway.

This program does what it says, but I don't really need to do much except for overclocking. It supports newer video cards, and it's nice that you can adjust the shader clock with this though.
