AnyDVD HD 6.4.7.3 Beta  beta

Publisher's Description:

AnyDVD allows you to decrypt CSS encrypted DVDs on the fly. Insert your CSS- (Content Scrambling System) and RPC (Region Code Protected) - protected DVD into your DVD drive. It will detect it and automatically remove the protection. It only takes a few seconds. Even if your drive is not region-free, immediately you'll get a chance to watch movies that don't match your drives region code.

Awwww... It's too expensive? Gee, let me think: Why would they charge what they do? Lifetime updates, frequent updates, and actual support couldn't figure in, could it?

If you'd rather use some freeware piece of crap that doesn't really work and that gets updated only if and when the author feels like it, and for which there is no real support, then by all means save your money and screw around with that crap.

Still the best of it's kind. I've tried a few others and they were not even close. I still wish Beta news would ban Metshrine and Dudeboyz from wasting everyones time with thier feud. As for being expensive, the price is very resonable considering the ability of the software and the numerous updates. That is what I call support.

Still cannot be touched by any application when it comes to removal of DVD or BRD protections. Heck, the latest version even updated a known HD-DVD protection. I still have yet to see a single application which can handle BRD in any fashion that removes protections.

If you have an HTPC, this is a great addon. If you just want to remove protections, it's the best in that category as well. Price aside, this program cannot be touched by any other program in the realm.

Still buggy and not worth the huge expenditure unless you are almost exclusively using it to work with Blu-Ray disks.

There are many other programs that handle DVD ripping better than AnyDVD does and there is no reason to purchase anything from Slysoft if all you want to do is work with regular DVD's.

There are fantastic Stand-Alone executable programs, some free some not, that can give you all that you need without any of the issues that the AnyDVD driver model presents. If for some reason you are insistent on using a driver model approach, there is also a free alternative to AnyDVD that can do that just fine.

Given this, the only thing that AnyDVD has to offer is HD-DVD and BLU-RAY support. If you do not need to rip HD-DVD or BLU-RAY media, then don't even give this buggy, ultra-expensive option a single glance.

It's impossible to cost-justify any other way.
