I have been reading all of these wonderful reviews about Maxthon on this forum as well as other forums, when not one reviewer bothered to mention that there isn't a 'paste' button in the toolbar! There is a 'copy' button, but no paste button?!
Why would a company make a browser with so many sophisticated features, yet intentionally omit a basic (and necessary) feature such as a 'paste' button? Terrible oversight in design IMHO.
Sure, you can paste via the dropdown Edit menu, use Ctrl+V, or right-click and paste from the context menu, but that isn't my point.
My point is that cut/copy/paste buttons should be standard on ALL browsers, but it isn't so with Maxthon.
Also, I couldn't use my password manager (Password Agent) with this browser shell. When I tried to 'Autofill' both the username and password, the command would open either the Favorites menu or Help menu?! Weird little browser Maxthon has created. Makes me curious as to why so many rave about it?

Using latest version (v1.6.3.80).
IMHO, it's best and most complete browser I've tested. Firefox and Opera are great browsers too, but I miss on them a few features available on Maxthon Classic.
It hasn't crashed for months, perhaps other people having crashes should try with a clean install.
It's a little sad there's a lot of people entering here and writing bad reviews without having tested the browser.
Fanaticism isn't good at any life aspect...

Why use this crap when there is Firefox and even IE7. What a waste of harddisk space.

I'm very glad they are still updating this app. I don't like version 2.x, but am a HUGE fan of the 1.x effort. Anytime they can make the app more stable and efficient, it's gotta be a good thing.
That said, I do wish they would do a bit more testing and optimization. This latest update to 1.6.3.80 is more stable for me than previous 1.6.x releases. It seems to work fine with More Options 1.6.0 and updates properly if you use the Check for Updates option in the Help menu. Some previous releases did not.
Maxthon is good enough to keep me on IE 6. Makes it usable and functional in ways IE never was. Don't need to upgrade to IE7 with the IE 6 and Maxthon combo, or so it would seem.
