Anyone who tries to charge you the user extra for a payed wireless access point that you control is to me no different than these idiot cell companies who pawn cell phones that have supposed "wifi" capabilities wich they then want you to pay extra to use. Even if I was a billionaire I would not pay to access a free wifi signal.

Insure_iT: This is a great software to secure and control who access a wireless network. There is big difference between this program and fon. Here you create you *own* network, which can be a tiny one of friends and family *or* a large commercial one. With fon you are part of a big commercial ISP whether you want it or not, so no wonder your ISP was upset. Here no one will raise your bill same as no one raises the bill for all these open access points, Besides... if a company did something wrong to you, take your frustration on that company not on everyone else

HOME USERS BEWARE!!!!!! If you DO NOT have a commercial ISP account or prior written authorization do not use this software! I just had a long battle with my local DSL ISP and FON (www.fon.com). To make a long story short...my ISP tried to charge me for the differece for a Business account for the time I had FON installed even though didn't choose the $$ option in my account which meant I chose not to charge for the connection. They also did not care that I never had a single user connect because the FON firmware bricked my router (this actually turned out to be a good thing because I discovered DD-WRT Firmware {www.dd-wrt.com} which ROCKS!!). I was also informed that re-selling your connection could* result in a felony due to the interstate telecom laws. In summary: 1. Dont use this software 2. FON SUCKS 3. DD-WRT ROCKS!
