Yep, the UI is the only bad thing in 7zip. For novice 7zip is a tabu.

@JeRrYFaR: you have had the good idea of using 7Zip but you have not yet tried the 7z compression format? I invite you to go one step further. Start using it now. It's reliable, all my archives are in 7z. Never had any problem. In addition, when sending compressed file to other people, give them the 7z file and a link to www.7-zip.org in case they don't have a software to handle the 7z format.

I realized something funny. Some persons, and I am talking about IT people, know that 7Zip can handle zip. But they end up using (or reinstalling) Winzip. Simply because they are used to see the file with the Winzip icon!
