You're seriously basing your rating on the visual appeal of the GUI? how about ease of use, functionality and superior compression? sure it's not the prettiest GUI, but that's not exactly why you use a file compressor.

Can't get any uglier for a user interface. Perhaps the author should spend some time learning graphics. Winrar is by far the best.

i originally installed 7-zip because winrar's 64-bit shell extension support is...well, s***ty. but i kept it because:
-7zip archives really are a bit smaller than rar
-its better at unpacking archived exe installers that winrar just spits out errors about
-the damn shell extension really works on 64-bit xp!
