Realplayer sucks sooo much more than any codec pack. Ideally you would never use it. AceMega did some wonderful stuff when i needed to play videos.

well, interestingly enough i had movie files, which the "almighty" K-Lite could just simply not play properly, but which Ace did without a hitch. So I don't know what's all this sneering at Ace... It's a clear 5 for me!

it's great little codec pack... includes all codecs needed and not needed. a liittle bit too much for common user thou.. but for me ideal

This is a must have for any PC in my opinion. Will the average user actually use every codec?? OF COURSE NOT!!! Is it nice to know you have every codec you will ever need and then some? ABSOLUTELY! This will hose your computer - but only if you are stupid and can't read. If you are going to put this on your computer, first download it. DO NOT RUNN IT YET!! RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AND DO NOTHING BUT INSTALL THIS ONCE IT RESTARTS - THEN RESTART IT AGAIN. Check it's status and you WILL be fine. If it isn't in Add/Remove Programs yet, that means you need to restart one more time - again - DO NOTHING ELSE UNTIL YOU'VE REBOOTED BEFORE AND AFTER INSTALLATION. You may or may not need to reboot twice after installation. Other than that - if it hosed your system, you didn't follow the instructions and have yourself to blame. Great product. Not just recommended - but insisted.
