AIMP Classic is a powerful audio player that allows you to listen to your favorite music with an outstanding sound quality. Its appearance resembles that of another classical audio player (Winamp), so you'll get used to it very quickly. It can also be customized with skins. The program includes a 18-band equalizer, a visualization window to display rhythmic visual effects and a playlist editor to organize your audio files. A nice fading effect makes your list of songs look like an endless music loop and a handy volume normalizing feature avoids drastic volume changes between tracks. Also, the player's main functions can be conveniently controlled by global hotkeys. Besides playing music, AIMP Classic features three extra utilities which also enable you to record any sound on your computer, convert audio files from one format to another and view or edit tags. AIMP Classic is based on the well-known audio engine BASS, so it's easy to connect new plug-ins (from the plug-in library included in the program) and expand the player's functionalities.

I likes this audio player. It's quick, snappy and has nice sound options. However, I installed Aimp 2.x for now until version 3 has had a few more fixes. My only gripe is that the Reverb effect option is too strong at a low setting, so I don't use it. Do like the Stereo Enhancer though, along with my equalizer settings. The reverb problem might be better with version 3, being that Aimp 3 has its own audio engine as compared to version 2.

great light weight sounding player ! I have tried many but I swear my music sounds best out of this one, my set up a laptop hook up to a vintage 1973 Harmon kardon 730 receiver on Cerwin Vega LS-15 speakers all monster cables .. sounds great.. my only wish would be to have a album art cover play list :)

Been using AIMP for 4 days now love it. I should have changed to it before, but was using Winamp which is now not compatible with Windows 8 at all or IE 10 making it for me at least obsolete. I like AIMP, it installed quite alright, have had no problem with it, works very well and now that I have it, i prefer it over Winamp. You will also.........Give it a try....

AIMP is the real deal. Everything you want in an audio player, nothing you don't. I switched from XMPlay and haven't looked back.
