As a software developer I must disagreed with the previous reviewer.

It might be true that one could fix yourself. When that is said, you must realize that every system is different, maybe not in hardware but always in configuration.

Further it is the driver developer's responsibility to do a proper purging of the old driver since they have to assume that some might be end users and experienced users just chose another hardware supplier if the current can't live up to his/hers demands.

For example, I have a HP dv7-6055eo laptop which runs with dual graphics HD6000/Radeon 6770M and I have never experienced so many issues with a GFX driver. Either it screws up when changing graphics card or it messes up texture models in various games.

My other laptop runs a nVidia GTX570M whose driver runs perfectly in any game. nVidia has in my many years of experience a far better developer department OR it has far better testing procedures.

I find it extremely ignorant that some people think that software is "perfect" or that it is the end user who is the first issue.

It is the software developers responsibility to do the proper testing before they ship. Of course nobody is perfect, but the developer must make the procedures for reporting errors clear. Sites like AMD's has a tendency to be very confusing for most users.

I urge AMD to improve their testing procedures and user bug reporting site locations clear for users.

I installed the drivers on a fresh Windows 7 install. No other driver was installed, except the one which came with Windows, default.

They may work with your card, but not with mine. Yes it's my problem, and because of that, I think AMD has left much to wish for.

The drivers should work, if they're advertised to work.

AMD could go far, if they would invest more money and time, in their GPU drivers.

Right now, the performance is just plain bad.

I use a Mobility Radeon HD 4570, to play CSS on my laptop.

When i "upgraded" to these drivers, there was errors in the models, and some corruption of the surroundings.

Reverted back to 12.3, and everything is fine.

AMD. please do a proper quality control of the drivers, before your release them. Thaanks.
