I am amazed AOL is still continuing Aol and Aim Mail when they can not set these sites comparable to the worst mail site ob this planet.
There is some thing radically wrong with this organization. Either they are bunch of ignorants or shamelessly callous.
They must shut down mails and messengers to help users stay away from such useless products.

Reviewing 1.0.0.39 Beta 4 (Apr 14, 2007)
Experienced the same "failed to connect" error when trying to sign in with my AIM Account. However, the problem was fixed by first signing into mail.aol.com . Now the gadget works fine. I recall having a similar logon failure with another AOL plugin that required AIM account users to sign into AOL web mail at least once. Now that its working it looks pretty cool. It would be nice to be able to track my non-aol email as well though.

I too cannot get this to work and there are no options made available inside the program to try to find a solution. It gives me the same 'Failed to Connect' error. Miranda and AIM connect to the AIM network just fine. Trillian doesn't work though.
This looks like it could be a nice slim AIM client, but it needs the basic functionality of well, working.
