    Great.... now Win2k recognizes it, but gives the "unavailable" status on the usb bus. It doesn't recognize it in any TWAIN compliant scanner software. Basically there is no point to downloading this.

    I'm guessing all of these xxxU models are USB. Have you folks tried connecting to the scanner under an Administrator account? That's the only way I've gotten my UMAX scanner to work.

    I have a 320U scanner and it identified it as a 340U scanner. Which made me unable to use my scanner.
