AVIRA [Antivirus] is a reliable solution developed by AVIRA GmbH to protect users connected to network file servers from malicious programs. It supports a variety of configuration settings to help you protect your network security. It is fully remote-configurable. The individual modules can be installed separately, so that the administrators can use the Control Program on their workstation at any time. The modular structure essentially consists in the Resident Service containing the search engine, the core of all AVIRA software solutions, and the associated Control Program built to configure and operate the Resident Service. It runs in the background and supervises all file operations (read, write, copy, move, execute) performed by users with access to the server (on-access).
