AbsoluteFTP is the easy, powerful way to transfer files using FTP, with a simple Explorer-like interface and advanced features like direct server-to-server transfers. It works like Windows Explorer to drag and drop files between local and remote systems. Predefined sites and a New Site Wizard get you started fast. It supports multiple concurrent transfers, intra-server transfers, and control channel encryption through SecureCRT port forwarding.
Yes - 30 day timeout
- Bug fixes: On MVS servers, large partitioned data sets (PDS) were not displayed correctly
Reviewing 1.9.5 (Oct 1, 2001)
This is my favorite FTP client. I recommend this to beginners as well as advanced users. Its got everything you need if you're an uploader. There's however - no visible way of tracking/adding/removing files in a queue. You can drag 20 files and drop them for uploading but u cant add to remove some files from the queue when this is happening. And more often than not, a Cancel command results in a "Graceful closeure failed, forcing connection closure" state. But I still prefer this to FTP Voyager (ugh) or SmartFTP (5mb ftp client? No thanks.)! BPFTP is a different story altogether...
Reviewing 1.8 Beta 1 (Jun 3, 2000)
This is a very nice and SOLID FTP client. Just the right features, very customizable, and a very pretty interface. This program is definitely better and more stable than Cute. The only FTP programs I rate better than Absolute FTP are FTP Voyager and SmartFTP. I wish it had event sounds. It may seem unimportant, but I like to "listen" to my FTP program so I know when my files have finished or I've been disconnected.
