Access Boss is an access control utility that allows you to effectively maintain users access time policy. Define a time when a certain user may access a computer and the system will not allow this user to use the computer at the unappointed time. It allows you to control access time policy for local and remote computers from one conrol center.

    Best program I have seen for limiting access to a computer. Functionality is limited to time restrictions (login times and total time logged in) but while other software allows you to make more sophisticated restictions everything else I have tried has been defeatable.

    Isn't this availble through Windows Group Policies?

    I have tried to use this program to control the amount of time my children spend on their computers. For it to really work their account needs to be a limited one (otherwise Access Boss can be bypassed easily) but here's where the problem is - they can't download an install any patches for their games or add any new games to the system. Means I need to temporarily grant them administartor access rights to do these things - not really very convenient.

    Solve that and this would be a great program.

    Please do not discuss the program status (freeware/shareware) here anymore. This was our typo and we are really sorry for this confusion. We have already sent a request to change the status.

    Devilrider: Yes, you can probably find a free GUI for Windows functions to prohibit logging on at wrong time, but Access Boss can automatically logoff users when allowed time is over. You can also manage the remote computers with this program. Thats why we release it as shareware.
