Acidude Wallpaper Calendar gives you dynamic calendar directly into your desktop. It is shown as windows wallpaper. This is no static calendar picture you normally put into your desktop wallpaper. This is a calendar program that dynamically creates the wallpaper. Every date in the calendar has some space where you can put you own reminders, notes, birthdays, holidays, tasks to do and so on. You can easily put a note in eg. 13, August 2001 and when that month comes the current one, you see your note on your desktop.
- Now "Zepsoft Desktop Wallpaper Calendar"
- Backup & Restore functions
- Program now catches the wallpapers set elsewhere in your system
- An option to use an image (Bottom Image) behind all the other images
- Option to repeat color codes along with the entries in repeat dialog
Reviewing 2.0 Beta Build 25 (Aug 30, 2000)
I like this program, but in some ways I'm a bit disappointed by some of the changes he made in it. For one in version 1.05 on boot up the program would load update the walpaper calendar and then unload itself thus not wasting any resources. Now it stays after bootup and uses a huge 11% of the system's resources. Secondly, who needs a mail checker in a walpaper calendar program? And thirdly he could have included an option to just cycle the background image on bootup. Maybe he should put out an Acidude Wallpaper Calendar Lite version without some of these unnecessary extras? Please don't turn an excellent and simple program into a resource hog and bloatware.
