Ad-Aware is designed to provide advanced protection from known Data-mining, aggressive advertising, Parasites, Scumware, selected traditional Trojans, Dialers, Malware, Browser hijackers, and tracking components.

The IT administrator now has the possibility to centrally control network distributions of Ad-Aware through the Ad-Axis Management Console. The Ad-Axis Management Console works as centralized management of Ad-Aware execution including scheduled execution on corporate network clients. It automatically reports of server status and Malware detection to Internet Mail (SMTP). Ad-Aware reference files are centrally updated, which keeps Internet traffic low and in addition makes reference file updating of your clients simple and secure. The server and client run as Windows?�?�® services and therefore user interaction is neither necessary nor possible.

Ad-Aware has the following other editions available: Ad-Aware 2007 Free and Ad-Aware 2008.

Lots of resources used and it is still not Vista compatible. They have announced that it will be in the future.

Part of a series of programs that are moving from traditional installation to service-based scanning in XP. Problem is, that keeps the program in memory perpetually and leads to more compatibility problems with other security software. The beta conflicted with several different antivirus suites I tried. The scanner was much slower than the SE version, although seemed more thorough. In any case, the continual problems with the service eating up processor cycles makes this a non-workable piece of software for me. I'm clinging to the preceding version unless something great happens.

if you want uglier look no further, buy Windows Vista , but whether a Product is Ugly isn't what this review is about really, is about whether it works or not, but remember its still in BETA, Beta 7 does work but also Crashes Vista in the mean time an to say this is gonna be the final beta, i think they need many more cause i wont be touching the final even though i paid for an extension of the subscription

Ad-Aware has just gotten ... uglier? Well-said, Das mod. A big ol' "Meh" to this beta, not impressed.
