The DNG Codec provides a method for Windows Vista users to view DNG files in the Windows Explorer and Photo Gallery. The â??release candidateâ?? label applied to this technology indicates that the codec includes all of the intended features and is well tested but will not be released as a finished product until the community is able to help ensure that a larger set of hardware and software configurations are used with the Codec.

Works well here! Thanks Microsoft.

And pray tell how does your registry entry decode image files?
Your 'review' proves only that you have no clue and should avoid making public comments of any sort.

This proves only that Vista is c**p compared to XP. Why? XP can do it natively. Just open your notepad, paste: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.dng\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@="{3F30C968-480A-4C6C-862D-EFC0897BB84B}" save as dng.reg and add to the registry. Here you have what the codec does in Vista. One single line! 152 bytes!
