Advanced Audio Recorder can record any sound passing through any line of your sound card. For example, you can record sound being played back by an external program, sound from a microphone, an external LP, cassette, CD/DVD player, AM/FM/Satellite radio, etc. Recorded sound can be saved in wav-file format, mp3 format, OGG format or WMA format. And Advanced Audio Recorder is different: With its most exciting editing feature, you can cut, copy, past, trim audio files and enrich the sound by adding a list of effects.

Simple to use and I used it to trim 'Bolero'(for use as a sound track for a movie) from 13 mins to the perfect length of around 6 minutes. I did the whole job in about 40 minutes (not bad when the original is 13 minutes long! :) ) and the result was perfect to within fractions of a beat. I'd previously tried a couple of other utilities to edit the music and was lucky if I got accuracy within a bar or two.
