This used to be a handy little free retro program. Now the latest version is v2.44 and they want $40 for it!

I downloaded from their site and it's not free anymore. No fault of Betanews.

downloaded "freeware" vertion twice, but although the file state "alphaclock free edition", it installed the shareware vertion with 30 day trail,

This is a great little application and its 1.99 version has already been released. So I suggest you to go to program's download page to get it.

The actual version is Version 1.99 Build 2
    Released in May 2007.

@Akuma: The reason you have a "NAG" screen is one of two possibilities:
    1. You downloaded the WRONG version, and got the shareware version, or
    2. When the FREE version is about due for an UPGRADE it will start NAGGING. This will usually happen about the beginning of the month of the release.

My copy as stated is v1.99 build 2, and it started nagging on MAY 1st. The release of 1,99 was MAY 2007. SO, therefore that just tells me it will be updated soon.

As to the program itself, excellent program.

Nice program, just what I wanted.
Shame there's a nag screen telling me I need to register, and that I'm on a 30 day trial.

Not sure what's going on with this piece of "freeware" :/
