    i haven't tried it, but it isn't all that hard to change what type of codec is, just got to use regedit and look at the other codecs.

    yes, I agree, pretty useless... and shouldn't call itself a codec.. just an encoder/player.

    personally i think that this is a waste of time.
    the encoder only works on the Alparysoft format or uncompressed rgb24. so you can't test it on anything but that (not likely to work with frameservers, but i didn't test that). because it registers itself as a directshow filter not a video codec, i can't test it with webcamera's / most avi editors...
