Araxis Merge enables you to compare and work with different versions of the same text file. A color-coded side-by-side comparison makes it easy to pinpoint similarities and differences between two files at a glance. Connecting lines are drawn between the documents showing clearly how they are related.

    Araxis Merge can't be beat in its class. It is expensive but wow, it really is the gold standard for these kind of compare apps. 2007 seems to continue that. Looking forward to it going gold. If a big part of your job is merging code and the like, go for it. If you only need a causal solution, there are more reasonably priced programs.

    Does the job, but outragously expensive.

    Try Beyond Compare, seems to do just as much, most of the time better, and a fraction of the cost.. www.scootersoftware.com

    enterprise level app. does what it suppose to and does it very well... high price is justified by the feature set you get with this program. highly recommended for professionals; casual users should seek something less expensive, though.
