    Since using this product Ashampoo has sent me daily emails about "upgrades" to software I don't even have. Avoid at all costs

    I tried this product this product and found its registration process to be mind boggling. After about 2 weeks and several emails, I gave up and bought Jv16 Powertools (macecraft.com) instead. No registration problems at all!

    This is true. I tried one of their products and then they starting sending me daily e-mails (specials, etc...). I have a licensed version of their cd burning software and I refuse to use it now.

    Ashampoo always puts a lot of energy into the look of their products Ashampoo (Ashampoo WinOptimizer 4,firewall)..But guys,you have to understand that the program isn't the PC game.A lot of useless data overweight your CPU without any benefit.It's nearly impossible running deep scan and doing simple things at the same time,it will freeze your PC.
    The funcionality of this anti-spyware program is O.K.,real-time protection and data base (over 200.000 definitions) give you the state of security and protection.Scanning is also very good but slow.And you know why?Because Ashampoo made a hybrid between application and PC game!You should look at ESET!Their NOD 32 is spartan at look,but it doesn't pull any RAM from CPU and it does its work for A+!!!
    So,I give 4 because its database and real-time protection are on the highest level,but the weight of the program is an issue!
