These drivers will work on any A3D sound card running on a Windows 9x PC. These are the latest A3D Drivers available anywhere. If you are experiencing problems related to A3D it is recommended that you download these drivers.
If you are experiencing sound card problems, these drivers will not be of use, and there are a few options for resolution: if you are using an Aureal Vortex chipset sound card, you can download reference drivers on the preceding page for the appropriate chipset; if you are using a non-Aureal sound card, please contact the manufacturer of your sound card. re: multimedia centre: Well at least I can watch TV again. Recording doesn't work, and most fatures are bare bones only, but it's better than nothing. re: new drivers: ATI seems to have resolved some of the stability issues with the 1st set. No more BSOD with Quake III, Quake II now runs fullscreen. Now, if they'll just make 'em SMP stable for my BP6...

Umm... Recently my win2k 3d support just went away, and now I have no 3d at all. I know it's not my Vid card (Diamond Banshee). Cause it works on my 98 partition. Just wonderin if anyone else has had this problem, and what to do in order to make it work again?

Okay the review, I tried to install it and it reckons I dont have a compatible card, the readme then goes through how to install it manually (wrong ny the way, browse to the r128w2k\atidrive folder as the inf is in there) anyway after installing them manually I have had very few problems. TV out work's ok Monitor is nice and sharp, good forst drivers I'd say.

I did not have any problems installing these drivers or the multimedia center. The TV now works - Finally.
I have two minor problems with these new drivers:
The only problem that I have with them is a BSOD when D3D tries to resize my screen to start a game. The interesting this about this BSOD is that it does not happen everytime. It seems to randomly occur about 1 out of 4 tries starting games. But since in the Readme.txt, it mentions this as a known bug, I'll accept this error....at least they're admitting to it, and must be working on it.
The other problem I'm having is with the recording software in the multimedia center. I've tried recording some 30 min TV shows, I always get about 10-60secs recorded, then I get a nice BSOD. ATI has said that the recording part of the multimedia center is still being worked on, and realizes that it's a problem. But hey....I still have the TV part working, which is the most important part.
