It's purpose is to provide developers with a set of powerful yet easy to use sample, stream (MP3, MP2, MP1, OGG, WAV, custom generated), MOD music (XM, IT, S3M, MOD, MTM, UMX), MO3 music (MP3/OGG compressed MODs), audio CD, and recording functions. It also allows 3D positioning of samples, streams and MOD musics, and supports EAX (Environmental Audio eXtensions).

Greats lib! Free for freeware developer and only 100$ for shareware developer. It is a verry good, simple and fast lib.

Having heard this engine in XMPlay I must say that it is definitely one of the top contenders. The author of FB2k could learn a thing or ten from this.
