BrowserTraySwitch is a tiny system tray utility to help you quickly change your default browser. Just right-click to change your default browser - after that, all launched files and URLs will open in the selected browser.
Yes
- Minor Feature: Added "Edit configuration file menu options"
- Minor Feature: Added new "-switch" commandline options so you can set default browsers purely through commandline
- Major Feature: Added automatic detection of browsers - thx to PhilKC who found the registry key that makes this possible
Reviewing 1.00.06 (Jul 12, 2005)
This is invaluable for my circumstances running Win X64. I have it set up for 64-bit Deer Park (Firefox 1.1 Alpha), K-Meleon, Seamonkey, and IE 64- and 32-bit versions. It's especially handy coupled with Trillian for checking on Yahoo mail notifications, where I want to view the mail in 64-bit IE. It's also handy for opening links in email viewed via mail programs using the K-meleon browser.
