It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware.

    A version for Linux would be nice - BleachBit has one that's reasonable.

    The final release of CCleaner hangs on start (LION). Deleted all preference files and re-installed, same thing. Will watch as this develops. The windows version is must-have.

    While I haven't tried CCleaner on my iMac yet, I do take your "review" with a grain of salt. Since CCleaner has had success on the PC side and I have used the program with the same success I'm giving it a good rating and trust that it will do the same on the Mac side.
