CPOP collects your e-mails from your Internet suppliers and saves them locally on your disc. Afterwards, you can retrieve your messages using your e-mail software such as Outlook Express. It collects your e-mails on regular intervals from your various accounts at your different Internet providers. Once it has recuperated your e-mails, it forwards them to the right local mailbox.
