   CS was a great game until version 1.3 came out... True, 1.3 could still be some fun playing but luck was a way to big factor. Now 1.4 is here and there is even more luck involved... I'm seriously concidering stopping CS...

   Excellent bunch of changes. The views you now have when your dead are great, first person is brilliant. the anticheat stuff is hopefully gonna stop all the annoying twats who think its cool to hack, the jumpings not that bad, the subtle changes to the guns seem good (getting used to them - the AK kicks ass), and if you think CS is unpopular then your wrong.

    Horrible. They really messed up the gameplay with the jumping restriction. Over 17,000 people signed the petition to keep the 1.3 jumping style... valve is more ignorant than ever.

    Such a disappointment from V1.3. The jumping and mobility of the characters is so limited now with the almost dead stop after jumping. This is a pretty bad update. They need to keep movement the way it was :(

    a_fire_inside, you might want to try The All-Seeing Eye as your server browser program, it's SO much faster than Gamespy, especially if your on a high speed connection, which I assume you are. Oh and CS isn't popular eh? Looks to me like it's more popular than every FPS combined STILL.

    I don't care really that it has a clean UI, there's practically nothing on this p2p... still only like 5-10 users and 5 servers. That's Pathetic.

    Black-Wolf...people still play Quake you know, just because a game is not popular does not mean everyone just drops what they are doing and moves on.
    
    The CS community is actually stronger than it has ever been these past couple of months. Stratagy guides, box versions, stand alone games in development, and several other games that try to copy the CS theme but fail so badly in doing so.
    
    CS is better than ever.

    Are you insane? Of course this game is popular. Download Gamespy and try refreshing all of the servers for counterstrike. It takes me about 30-45 minutes....thats a alot of servers to refresh. Anyway, I was wondering when they were going to put out a new version of this. If you have halflife download this now, its alot of fun.
