Have used this program for a while, and never burned a coaster with it. Is not the fanciest looking app, but solid performer.

Since it's bundled with a tootbar it is no longer open source.

1.8.0.1 is out!

Still licensed under the GPL and here is a link to the source code:
https://sourceforge.net/...-1.8.0.tar.bz2/download

Makes it open source in my book. Ding one star for including some sort of third party installer which you can very easily decline.

The program has always worked great for me, but I could see it becoming frustrating for someone who does not know how to use it or isn't familiar with the various topics associated with transcoding, authoring, etc.

This is no longer "Open Source". The author is including a "Kicin" crapware bundle. It has been reported to Sourceforge.

Absolute crap. After waiting for it to decode three menued avi videos (which took it 9 hours), the program announced that the burning had failed. The saved file took 30 minutes to load, and when BURN was again commanded, the application began to transcode all over again. There should be a place for dim-witted developers to do community service, perhaps they should be required to compensate users for shoddy craftsmanship.

It's a good program but not very easy to use. I've used Nero Vision and that one is far easier to use and you can do way more things, although it's not free.

I think this one is on the right track but still has to improve a lot to be really usable by a newbie.
