Everything kmplayer used to be but with an added few years of well thought-out development.

Potplayer is awesome...
And as for the guy who rated it 2/5 because his Win2k machine had problems and because he was worried about bloatware: You can use Potplayer by running PotPlayerMini64.exe and no other programs, just download the zip.

Been using an old version of KMP for years, but thought I'd try PotPlayer after reading of the "bloat/adware" problems reported about newer versions of KMP. PotPlayer prompted me to install updated DirectX drivers, but the linked Microsoft download wouldn't install on my Win2K. PotPlayer started OK, but cautioned me it couldn't find ??? to provide audio and video. Fortunately I had installed it Using TotalUninstall so I was able to remove all traces of it. I'm sticking with my reliable KMP v2.9.3.1413.

Audio quality is good. Equalizer has a sufficient number of bands with good dB range. But it cuts off every song about two seconds before the end, which is really annoying. More disturbing, when it reached the end of my playlist, it tried to shut down my computer! i will be removing it until the bugs are worked out.

Love it. Ever since I found out GomPlayer spies on you, I switched to KMplayer, found it dead, and moved to PotPlayer. Have no looked back.
