Diskeeper is an automatic disk defragmenter that features scheduling and a high level of configuration ability, and can defragment even critical system files. Fragmentation occurs during normal Windows operation, as files are broken up in pieces and saved on different parts of the hard disk. This increases the amount of time it takes to access single files, and bogs down system performance.
Diskeeper Lite is a short version introduction to full-featured Diskeeper. It can only analyze fragmentation levels and run manual defragmentation on one disk volume at a time. All time and money saving “Set It and Forget It” scheduling, system management functions and network controls are shown and explained, but rendered inoperative. This tool will show you how easy the full version is to install and operate across any size network. It will help everyone in their selection of the right automated defragmentation software for their homes and/or business sites.

Download link brings you to a trial version. Lite does not seem to be available anymore.
Too bad...
Reviewing 7.0 Build 418 (Jun 12, 2009)
I noticed that the review is for Diskeeper Lite Version 2009. The Lite version of Diskeeper has not been around for quite some time. If anyone is looking to try Diskeeper, I would recommend they download the latest version of Diskeeper 2009 from www.diskeeper.com.
The full version of Diskeeper offers the following benefits over the Lite version:
1. Automatic Defragmentation
2. Better Defragmentation Engine
3. I-FAAST Technology which speeds up frequently
4. Improved Free Space Consolidation
5. Frag Shield which protects your Master File Table and Paging files from growth and fragmentation.
6. Boot- time Defragmenation option to defragment system files which may be in use while Windows is running.

Guys you can download a later version of Diskeeper Lite 9.0 from Intel here: http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/software/idu/
Download the Intel Desktop Utilities v2.1.9.66 [EXE 88.9 MB], unzip and install!
Reviewing 7.0 Build 418 (Jan 5, 2007)
Pros:
-Doesn't use Microsoft's defrag engine.
-Takes as little as 30 mins for a whole drive. If you defrag regularly, under 5 mins all the time!
-Runs in background - you can defrag while playing games or doing other tasks without it interfering with anything.
Neutrals:
-It pops up requests that you buy the full version to access disabled features.
-Interferes with Folding. May interfere with other idle priority processes.
Overall, there's not much negative about it. It's free, resembles the XP defragger, and is a hundred times faster!
Edit: Download seems dead right now. Snag it off Majorgeeks.
