DownUtube allows users to quickly download embedded videos and multimedia from Google Videos, YouTube, and Apple.com Trailers. Features include searching the web sites, downloading the clips, keeping looked clips in cache, showing clips' pictures, getting all available RSS feeds, looking the pages that contains clip information, keeping track of downloaded clips and deleted clips while downloading, downloading more than one clip at the same time, etc.

If you use Firefox and the Flashgot extension, downloading YouTube videos to your desktop is a one click operation. A button appears in the lower right corner when a video is available.
The 5 star rating is for those poor folks that don't use Firefox.

Adrian79, MANY people need to save YouTube videos to their PC. For example having a slow connection that cannot stream videos, it may be necessary to download them. Not everyone uses IE such as idiots like you, and the ones who do don't want to go looking through a folder with hundreds of files to find the video they want.

why would somebody need software to save youtube movies????
view in IE and once its fully downloaded, then go to "internet options" and click on 'view files' u will see them listed* just drag to desktop and change file name to "flv".. tadaa!!
*when u get to the temp folder, click "by size" to find the video files

Needs work, not even beta more alpha stage. tried on youtube and crashed, I sent the error report. Still, shows a lot of promise
