Driver Magician is an easy-to-use and powerful tool for driver backup and restoration in Windows operation system. It helps you to extract device drivers from your hard disk and back up them to any location you specified. When you reinstall operation system after system crash, you just selects device drivers you want to restore, then it can restore them from driver backup quickly and easily without inserting any driver disk. After one system reboot, all hardware in your computer works well. Although it appears to "backup" all the drivers on your system correctly, has anyone actually used this to RESTORE those backed up drivers successfully after installing a new OS? I have...On a TOSHIBA LAPTOP running XP SP3 and a clone desktop/VIA motherboard running VISTA SP1. It appeared to restore but none of the hardware/peripherals worked for the "restored" devices using the auto-setup "EXE" option on either machine. I did have the drivers from manufacturers which had to be installed manually but the one of the primary functions of this application is utterly useless.
I don't need the driver search function since as darusha pointed out that's what search engines are for.

This program is so-so. It did not show updates for most of my drivers and it just sends you to ANOTHER website to download those. In other wrds, it's not much more than a driver search engine, so why not going to Google first place.

Actuallly the version is 1.44. I read Milz commment and I politely disagree with him. In fact the latest version has really fixed the bugs mentioned by the author and the latest version gives you instantly full information about all the drivers installed on your PC

A very nice little programme. In a matter of minutes, I backed up all third party drivers . A must for those who go on adding cards.
