Excellent, just excellent. Can't say enough good things about this way-cool app. I was looking for a freeware CD burner for my old Win98SE that could burn LFN over the Joliet 64 limit. This one [supposedly] does that. I'm testing that out now. It theoretically has the capability to do 103 char filenames, Long Joliet, as well as 207 chars, ISO Level 4. In addition it does UDF format, eg, popularly associated with drag-to-disk apps like Roxio Easy CD, formerly Adaptec DirectCD.

As I said, I'm still in the process of testing very long filenames under Win98SE [this is not a prob under later Win, eg XP], but so far have had absolutely no problems.

Another nice feature here is that Easy Burning includes an addon to identify LFN. It'll show you which files exceed X number of characters. Now, this is also way cool, as anyone who has burned extra-long LFN can attest, when your burner either truncates the filename without warning or else freezes, etc.

Easy Burning site also has several other freeware CD-DVD burning utils, so be sure to check it out.

For LFN identification, I use another freeware prog called "Long Filename Finder," you simply input your path to check [and subfolders if you want, then put in the max filename length your burner can accept, then pow! you've got a list of filenames that exceed that. Then, you can go thru the list and manually rename. I know there are other freeware renamers that can auto-truncate to X number of characters length, but if you want more control over shortening names, this one's for you.

In any case, Easy Burning is a wonderful app & well worth a look. Simple, lots of options, and fast!

>1. Simplify Steps to write data CD/DVD.
???
2. Able to burn both folders and files.
EXIST. Use VISUAL-ISO (MULTI FOLDER or in the new translation Make a List)

3. Able to refresh the box so that users won't need to restart the program.
????????

4. Add check/uncheck to finalize a CD/DVD
Use Single Session Multisession and so on.

If you have a suggestion for improvement write it in my forum.

The fastest burning program that I have ever used, very stable, and also one of the smallest in size.
Great program.

However, there are some rooms for improvement.
1. Simplify Steps to write data CD/DVD.
2. Able to burn both folders and files.
3. Able to refresh the box so that users won't need to restart the program.
4. Add check/uncheck to finalize a CD/DVD

If someone have problems with the detection or an other problem visit my support forum: http://cdr.paehl.de
But normal must be run with the most DVD without any problems.

paehld. Only with this version I'm able to burn folder. With previous one I couldn't.
I give anyway 4 star. 3 for working, 1 as freeware.
Improve (better: change from scratch) the user interface and 5 stars will be yours.

Not sure what the use of this app is - its limitiation to only being able to burn a folder, versus individual files to the root of a CD-R (as how I would desire to backup my mp3 files)makes it pretty useless. Tried to search all options after setup. You can access it via right click context menu, but all it does it open the app.
I do not speak German, so the forum's help is limited for me.I was hoping for something like Burn4Free, but without the spyware. oh well...

This release is a slight improvement. Although it refuses to launch, at least it does not crash Windows XP. I know it's Beta software, and has not been tested with a lot of configurations yet. Perhaps the author would like to contact me on Bitwise (my nic is bobad)and I will be glad to help de-bug it.

What you write is big crap. This isn't the first version. Where you mean comes the screenshot?? ON A NORMAL XP OS. Run without any problem under all windows OS. Many many people use this software daily under 98/ME/NT/W2K/XP without any problem.

This program is a piece of stinky cheese. All it does is crash on my very stable XP machine. The author should try out software on his friends and relatives before he releases it for public testing.
