The user interface allows you to change the layout of your desktop as you see fit, adding new buttons and menus, and other visual goodies. Well, this build works, as opposed to my previous post. It's not a bad shell, but I'll stick with Explorer. I've tried quite a few others, but since my Explorer shell is so highly customized, I usually lose the customizations, when I use a different shell. And yes, some shells CAN mess up your system. One that I tried, GeoShell I think it was, even started up in safe mode, and crashed! I had to restore the registry to a previous state, to get things working again. This one, (Cintel Equinox), appears stable, anyway.

Looks like an alternative shell for retards. Or, maybe
for somebody who wants to improve the interface on their
    486-66 running Windows95.

Late? LiteStep ??? Why the hell do you think someone who could configure LS the way they want would want the 'Home Edition' ? You're looking for simplicity - fine, you're looking for minimalist - GREAT - get this program - in English: it's fast and easy to set-up. Pre-DOS? now you're just being stupid - I doubt DOS has remote shell functionality and alpha-blending for desktop icons/items.. and as for your question - I personally cherish an app that can do things the *simple* way - this was aimed at home users, and although I'm more of a business-type, this is the best thing that's happened to me!
