Express NewsPictures 2.41
Publisher's Description:
Express NewsPictures is a powerful newsreader specifically designed for downloading and viewing images from Usenet newsgroups. The program downloads articles with images inside, decodes them, and saves on your hard drive. It filters spam, leaving only those articles that contain real images. It lets you preview the downloaded pictures and shrink or scroll the picture if it doesn't fit in the preview window. A unique filtering capability lets you filter newsgroups and messages based on keywords you specify helping to avoid the content you may find offensive. It comes packed with a set of keywords to filter off adult content and you can easily edit these filters, add your own keywords or remove all of them completely and rely on your own common sense.

it's a good program.. but it could be a bit more informative about what it's doing... it needs to give you more staus information, at a few points, I had thought it had locked up because it just said "Downloading Headers"... and that's it... other than that... it's a good little program.....

Downloading from Express-Soft was very fast (70k/sec). The install took only a few secs. Software looks good and downloads the newsgroups very fast. Trying to view a news group was also fast. The software does what it says. Very good.
