F-Secure 2006 gets a "5" because it truly is a malware crusher. These folks are deadly serious about their products. That being said, F-Secure products do not play well with others. Those that like to take a layered (my preference) approach to their desktop security may wish to look elsewhere.

Great Software - recommended and the support is
    excellent too

ur-ukar - idiot - Backweb is used to update the software and provide anti-virus news/alerts - check your facts before spouting crap.

I think this works exactly just like Kaspersky.

They are like within the top 3 choices.

    norton just stinks.

    symantec will lose.

    And microsoft will win too!

BACKWEB is what F-Secure uses to update.

F-Secure offers wonderful research for latest virus threats around the globe.

However, Kaspersky is still the best Anti-Virus out.

I recommend Kaspersky AntiVirus for all users.

F-secure is a very good antivirus program.
But i recommend not to use it: it installs itself with a spyware!! (a spyware called "Backweb", some kind of a keylogger and usage reporter). Check your c:\documents and settings\...\local settings\temp\ and you'll find "iadhide5.dll".
    Beware of this stuff!
It's really amazing that an antivirus installs itself with a spyware...
