Fast Note is an useful program for those people that always need a little piece of paper to write useful info on when they're sitting down near their PC. It will put an icon in the task-bar, and with a simple click of your mouse you can write down the precious info that if you want, will be always visible on the desktop. You can have various KFN windows opened simultaneously, all reduceable by user demands. And when you have finished, you can delete (forever) or close (momentarily) the note.

Each note can be hidden (closed) untill manually unhidden. Just close the note and when you want to unhide it go to the notemanager and reopen the note :)

Stickies (http://www.btinternet.com/~tom.revell/) is also freeware and slightly better (referring to Stickies 5.0a rc3). For example, I like for the note transparency to be cancelled when I'm typing in the note... with Fast Note, this option is not available. Also, sometimes I like to Hide Until Manually Unhidden... This does not seem to be available in Fast Note. The issues are relatively minor, but they prevent me from rating it a 5.

I love this program!
I've been using it for a while and it's the only note program that isn't bogged down with hundreds of useless features that i didn't want! i only wanted to post notes to the desktop and this does that. Simple and effective.

Well, the notes can be deleted now. Bit tricky figuring out how to do it though. It'd be better if the note manager was integrated with the Delete key, since that's what it's generally used for. Could also make the size of the title bar variable, as large fonts don't show very well in it. Otherwise, a nice little note program.
