FeedGarner is an RSS aggregator that can read RSS and Atom feeds. It has an interface reminiscent of iTunes that allows for an easier and perhaps more natural browsing experience. It is more than simply an aggregator; it also is a "podcatcher", a Podcast client.

- Various UI improvements (e.g., toolbar)
- Various improvements and minor bug fixes
Reviewing 0.8 Beta (May 9, 2005)
RSSBandit is one of the freewares out there that rivals NetNewsWire well. The only drawback of RSSBandit is its bloated UI component just to achieve Outlook 2003'ish blue. It destablizes the GUI more than any marginal improvement it could gain.
This app's UI seems to be inspired by iTunes, yet I felt the screen estates could be more streamlined. I give it a 2 because it is Yet-another-Reader, if I were the author, I would focus on helping RSSBandit project.
Reviewing 0.6 (Mar 22, 2005)
Actually, we do. There is still nothing on the PC that comes close to the elegance and power of NetNewsWire on the Mac. Some apps come close (FeedDemon, Newzcrawler), but they always fall short in one or two areas. If FeedDemon would add a proper hierarchy of feeds (instead of the flat list with a drop-down for categories) it'd be almost there...
