    According to some reports, Firebird actually has a substantial piece of the open source database market. This is because Firebird is often embedded as part of other products.

    BTW, FireBirdSQL is based on Borland Interbase. When Borland Open Sourced it, they forked these guys are going it alone.

    Plenty of other, better SQL programs available such as mySQL and postgre. The group around this program are rather childish as well with their spamming of the mozillazine forums and massive email attacks on the Mozilla/firebird project.
