Free HDD LED shows hard disk drive activity in real time in the systray area and on keyboard (blinking the scroll lock key led). It monitors all physical hard disk drives connected to the pc (ide/sata/usb). It also features a free disk space monitor (works also for pendrives, network drives and TrueCrypt drives).

I have ver0.3. :-P . I did try the newer version after that and saw that nag screen. Trashed it. I'm staying with old version. I hate nag screens.

This is not a free program.
They have a nagging screen for payments which reminds everyday.
Do not install it unless you are prepared to bear with the foolish 'Donate' button attached and repeated nag screen.

I tried this and it works well. My only negative is it needs Admin Rights, making auto-startup a bit of a pain. I have been using an a similar little prog. called DriveGLEAM http://www.dirtcellar.net/software.php. Even though it's older, it has auto start to tray, and is more customizable as to which drives it monitors. Win 7 x64 - no issues.
