FreeRIP MP3 3.08

Publisher's Description:

FreeRIP MP3 can record digital audio tracks directly from compact discs, without going through your sound card. You can save tracks as CD-quality WAV files or encode them to Ogg Vorbis or MP3 compressed format.

FreeRIP MP3 is freeware, however registering this program will suppress the splash screen at startup.

What I like is that it is portable and the exe is compressible. It does not ask for registration (unless you uncheck the splash screen) and the toolbar is optional. Seems to have search features for art and lyrics now though I have not tried them.
Out of the box ripper that has no learning curve. I for one like it alot.

Nothing new nor even different. Not very impressive and limited options, plus it wants you to register and you need to be sure and not install the added crap with it.

Not worth the time to download.

Ehh offers nothing more then other freeware rippers, heck it offers less.

"FreeRIP MP3 is freeware, however registering this program will suppress the splash screen at startup."

That's called nagware, not freeware.

The main feature I am looking for in a ripper is that it can combine the whole CD into one long MP3. Can this program do that? Also what if anything does this do that CDex can't?

Thanks,
Christian Blackburn

No rippers do anymore.

As someone below said: Lack of format support, and no secure ripping.

EAC all the way.
