Freebie Notes is a great little program for users who just want sticky notes with an alarm timer. With Freebie Notes you can create notes displaying on your desktop. Your notes can be displayed immediately after creation or in the certain moments of time. You can create notes of custom sizes and colors and set different types for your notes.

Nice try, but after about five minutes when I was writing a new note, I found that I was unable to close the window, the mini toolbar was not responding, and right-clicking on the systray icon and selecting "close" was not working either. The program bombed out on me. In the immortal paraphrased words of Eminem, you only got one shot, but this program missed its chance to blow. Or, it blows, depending on how you look at it. Either way, Stickies (http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/index.html) is FAR better. The latter supports networked mode, emailed alerts, and you can even "attach" stickies to program windows so that when you actually maximize or open the program, the sticky appears.

I learned to love this app and I´m using it for years! It definetly keeps its place on my desktop! This is free of charge too! I can only recommend it!

There's a million 'sticky notes' utilities out there. More than most of the others, this applet is feature-rich and has a good interface.
Especially like the ability to pre-position a note on the desktop.
