The version I've just installed says version 4.0.2723.0 during installation and within the program itself, with a build date of 05-JAN-2007.

    Great program!

I'm very pleased to see Google supporting Linux more as time goes by.

Thanks for making the effort, Google!

    A very cool program.

The current version 4.0.2091, by the way. :-)

    This software is great!
I did not notice much slowdown on my SUSE 10 system at all. Using a Geforce 5700 Ultra. However I bumped up the memory options to use 400MB of memory for cache and kept the default of 400MB of cached disk space. After these changes everything seemed faster than when I last used this on Windows. I can not say about the beta build performace on Windows but the Linux beta seemed to be faster than the V3 released build.

    Come-on, this deserves a 5!

I, and prob. many others, submitted to Google's request page for Google Earth asking for a Linux version!

I have made the switch to linux as well, but could not stand Open Office, so I run MS Office using crossover office.

Installed into two computers, one desktop and one laptop both running winxp and Linux FC5. So far so good. Little slower than the windows version. I have been waiting for this for awhile, now I have even less reason to go on windows.
