For me, this is the only sidebar. Its not so flashy, but it -- and the gadgets available -- just 'work'. Its indexing is also vastly superior to that built into Vista and can handle much larger collections of files with less resource use.

"Try closing the Microsoft one before using this one." Duh! Silly me! Then again why would I want any side bar at all? This is yet more clutter to destabilize and slow down a system.

It is a good indexer, I use it at work all the time (as a developer, its handy to find code either on disk or in my email). Unfortunately it dies constantly under windows vista 64 ultimate (even when I am not interacting with it). It just constantly pops up with a dialog box (typically after a few days of being installed) saying that it has stopped working. That dialog tends to show up a few times a day from then on.
