While the maps are a bit out of date, the killer here is the readout along the bottom of the display. Numbers pop up and down, the ground elevation does pretty much what it wants to, there are odd 200's near the bottom of the display, the Lat/Lon throws in a 2 once in a while. I'll go back a few revs.

For me the out of date images make this next to useless.

What a great program - real-time images? maybe if the military took it over.

My only point is, that the ideal scene would be real time pics - if it was possible, some of the images returned are over 7 years old

madmike, you suggested that there be a way to update the images within Google Earth, well, that'll never happen. You must realize that the images aren't owned by Google. The images are updated when Google finishes processing the images so that they can put the images into Google Earth.
I will just say that I enjoy Google Earth regardless of the issues with the images or whatever. That is partially why I gave it a 5.
