Reviewing 2.0 Beta (Oct 19, 2006)
It actually cut down on system resources from previous releases but still needs some work.eh it's beta..
The program needs a compact mode of some sort.I think it may be hard for other people to navigate and that's why not many people use this.
I can't tell yet but are there actual groups or just shout out pages with content?
This program needs to be modified a bit or given the ability of skins so users can arrange the content to suite their needs.
There is something lacking which makes this program hard to digest.
Keep up the good work,though.. hope to see future releases..

Reviewing 2.0 Beta (Dec 7, 2005)
The Beta 2.0 version returns an error message when you try to create a group, or invite a friend. Avoid this software until it is fixed.

Reviewing 1.3 Beta (Feb 1, 2005)
The new release of Grouper (v 1.3) fixes it's most troubling performance problems, giving the user options for balancing bandwidth use of upstream and downstream file transfers and other applications you may have running at the time. It also adds features to enhance its use as a social communications tool, even building a "mini-email" tool into the client.
For strengthening its social networking power, group creators now have the option of "listing" their groups on a public Web page (soon to appear) so that people interested in the focus of their group can send a "request for an invitation" to join. Group creators still have the option of turning down a request, but can ask questions to see if there's a good match.
It's a much more useful tool than it was a month ago, but it only gets a 4 rating because it still lacks the public Group Directory that will help attract new members.
