HTML-Kit is a full-featured text editor designed to help HTML, XML and script authors to edit, format, lookup help, validate, preview and publish web pages. Newcomers to HTML coding can benefit from letting it point out errors and suggest improvements. Experts can save time spent on common tasks using the customizable and extendible editor while maintaining full control over the code.

The built-in FTP Workspace makes it easier to upload and edit remote files online. Other features include multiple preview options, spell checker, customizable syntax highlighter views, ActionsBar layouts, integration with external programs such as style sheet editors and validators, TagsReminder, TagsWizard and more.

    This is a great piece of software, especially given the price (free)! My notepad days are over.

    It's the best text-based HTML editor available. It has plenty of features for the advanced coder, while being a great learning aid for those of us who don't yet know enough to go completely without help. It's prototype pad is reliable enough for minor WYSIWYG edits. I confess I still begin most of my pages in a WYSIWYG editor, but even the best of those will produce some non-standard or invalid code, so I always at least finish pages with this.

    This is definitely the most advanced HTML editor the world has seen yet. A really HUGE number of great addons, tools, templates and stuff, and all this is FREE FOR PERSONAL USE. Go grab it, web-professionals! :)
