Handbrake is a utility that can convert standard DVD's into a compressed format of your choice. mp4 with AAC audio or AVC with h264 video and AAC audio. It also lets you crop the image to get rid of the black bars to bring down the size even more and lets you choose options as to how you want it encoded.

    Hey wireless,
F#ck off with your chinese converter spam you loser.
So much of that stupid, overpriced, chinese converter software from different so called companies. It is all buggy junk written by the same dumb chinese guy with different skins.
Freeware like Handbrake is sooo much better. They are not greedy loser chinese spammers. They do it for free! They won't even accept donations.

You can also use iMedia Converter to convert both dvd and video to any video and audio files o Mac OS X. I thinks it's more professional than Handbrake.

HandBrake is very popular, I can see it on many website, this is benefit from free. On the other hand, it is difficult to use for beginner, lack support and weak stability. HandBrake attend technology and ignore user experience. I consider iFunia is better than it, I already gave up HandBrake and used iFunia.
