Helpinator is an easy to use help authoring tool that produces CHM, PDF, RTF and HTML. Time is money. If you are a software developer or micro-ISV your time is your greatest value. Thus you need development tools that save your time and money. Large help authoring suits are expensive and contain lots of features that you will never use. Helpinator is inexpensive and is packed with a set of features that you need every day. Above that you receive some unique essential features not available in other help authoring packages.

    Free version is supposed to be limited to 10 topics, but this doesn't seem to be enforced (yet?).
    Good: Easy to use and configure; Can import CHM files; Can paste HTML into it (but not back out).
    Bad: Can not edit HTML of pages (although you can for the template); No tooltips in the editor - you have to play guess the icon function; Couple minor bugs and had issues rendering some of my backgriound colours.
